The Sacred Road of Return
Every soul who crosses the threshold of Lakû Mètrès La is not joining a school, they are stepping onto an ancient road.
This road existed long before buildings, religions, or titles. It is the road that brings a spirit back to itself. It is the path of those who were called before they were born, those whose names were spoken by the ancestors long before they took their first breath. These five levels are not “classes” or “certifications.” They are initiatory thresholds. Each level is a gate, and each gate opens only when the soul becomes ready. You do not pass these levels by memorizing information. You pass them because the spirits recognize your walk.
LEVEL 1 — HOUNSI
You pass because your shadow softens, your ego bends, and your inner fire steadies.
The journey begins with humility, the courage to become empty.
LEVEL 2 — HOUNSI VODOUNVI
It deepens through ritual discipline, the shaping of the inner rhythm.
It sharpens into service, the backbone of all priesthood.
LEVEL 3 — MANBO / HOUNGAN SENP
And it culminates in mastery, not of power, but of self.
Because in Vodoun, mastery is never the goal.
LEVEL 4 — MANBO / HOUNGAN SOU PWEN
The goal is remembrance, the return to the oldest truth within you.
Every level awakens a new responsibility, a new vibration, and a deeper conversation with the spirits who walk your path.
LEVEL 5 — MANBO / HOUNGAN ASONGWE
The farther you go, the more the spirits move through you, reshape you, refine you, and polish your destiny like a stone washed in river water. Below is the deeper breakdown of each level.
